| STAR-CD India Users Conference

| The
STAR-CD India Users’ conference 2006 was held on the 4th of July
2006, at the Le Meridian, Bangalore. The event was held in
partnership with HP and was very well received by the STAR-CD
software users’ community. It is recognized as the premier
conference for CFD practitioners, flow modeling engineers and
technical managers from varied industries. |

The event was organized by CSM
Software, the leading provider of engineering simulation
software and services in India, who celebrate 10 years of
partnership with CD-adapco, the technology leading CFD products
and solutions provider.With over 120 delegates from 42
companies, the 2006 STAR-CD India User Conference addressed CFD
issues in all their forms and gave attendees the opportunity to
learn how to use CFD using best practices.The event featured
presentations by senior executives from CD-adapco and CSM
Software and presentations by eminent personalities from the
user community.There were 10 separate user presentation sessions
covering topics in power generation, aerospace, environmental,
materials chemical processing, Heating/ventilation/air
conditioning (HVAC) and general topics. |
The event also included technical presentations by CD-adapco
staff on topics such as marine applications, fuel cells, multiphase
flow with heat transfer and phase change, turbulence, and parallel
processing.

had the opportunity to hear a keynote speech from one of the leading
names in the CFD arena – Prof. David Gosman, reckoned by many as the
Father of CFD and is particularly popular for his ability to present
complex subjects in an accessible and often witty way. Prof Gosman
spoke about the future product direction and technologies. |
