Dr. R Swami Narayanaswami

CSM owes its success and growth to the vision of Dr. R Swami Narayanaswami, who is amongst the "who's who" of NASTRAN researchers worldwide. With more than 35 years of experience in CAE, he is globally recognized as a Scientist, Researcher, Educator and a successful entrepreneur.
A Post Graduate from Indian Institute of Technology, and a PhD awardee from Texas Tech University, Dr. Swami went on to get his Post Doctoral Fellowship from the prestigious National Science Foundation at NASA Langley Research Center. Dr Narayanaswami was one of the scientists who originally worked with NASA on development of NASTRAN. Besides NASA, he has also worked with Rockwell Corporation where he was involved in the development of the B1 Stealth bomber and the MacNeal-Schwendler Corporation.
In 1982, Dr. Swami formed CSAR Corporation to focus on training and consulting to the NASTRAN community. He wrote the first commercial, general-purpose structural optimization software products using a major FEA code. CSAR was merged with MSC Corporation, USA in 1999.
Dr. Narayanaswami oversees all business aspects of CSM and provides guidance on all matters of running the company.

Saraswathi Narayanaswami
Director - Finance |
''Sarasa' as she likes to be called, has been on the Board as the Director - Finance, of CSM, since its inception in 1992. Previously, she served on the Board of CSAR Corporation, from its inception in 1982, till its successful sale in 1999 to a company listed in the New York Stock Exchange. She holds double Master's degrees in Mathematics, from University of Kerala in India, and Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. After starting her career as a teacher in advanced topics in Mathematics, both in the colleges of Kerala, and at the high school level in USA, she entered the US workforce as a computer programmer. Later she moved to manage the Finance and Administration departments of CSAR Corporation. In this position, she worked with Certified Public Accountants and Bank officials to successfully meet the finance and tax aspects of CSAR Corporation with the multi-State and Federal levels in USA. She coordinated the due diligence process and the development of the agreements by working with the legal and financial teams of both the buying and selling companies during the sale of CSAR Corporation in 1999. She presently manages the finances and tax aspects of CSM Software USA, LLC.

Satya Srikanth
Chief Executive Officer |
Srikanth as he is known to all is the Chief Executive Officer at CSM Software. He is responsible for the operations of five Business Units of CSM. He oversees all aspects of business operations including Corporate Planning and Organization Building while maintaining thrust on Operations Excellence. Before rejoining CSM in 2003, he headed CSM India operations from 1993 to 1999 and was instrumental in expanding India Operations, building the team & propagating the use of cutting edge CAE technologies in Singapore, Malaysia, Korea and Indonesia.
Between 1999 and 2003, he was in the top management positions of IT organizations helping them build large & complex Offshore Delivery models. He was also actively involved in building Partnerships & Joint Ventures with Organizations across the world. His strong experience in the Global Services market, and CSM's Strategic Vision to be a leading Global Engineering Services provider, were compelling reasons for CSM to invite Srikanth to come back as the Head of Engineering Services Division in 2003. In May 2004 he was appointed the CEO.
He started his career with Sonata Software and moved to Wipro Technologies where he was an integral part of the team that introduced Engineering Applications to the Indian market. Srikanth received his Bachelors degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore, India.

A K Balasubramanian
Vice President - Delivery (Engineering Services) |
A K Balasubramanian holds a M.Tech degree from IIT, Bombay, and has over 19 years of experience in CAE projects. 'Bala' as he is called, in his current role is responsible for Customer Delivery. His technology & application experience in domains of automotive / aerospace Project Management for domestic and international clients adds value to his current profile. Budgeting, estimating, measuring progress and risk management are also activities that require Bala's expertise. Additionally, he supervises quality management activities and contributes to process improvements over time.
He also plays a vital role in managing the resource requirements in terms of hardware, software and people ensuring optimum utilization of resources; monitors process compliance, through sample checks and takes corrective actions in case of non-compliance; acts as a mentor, and ensures that the team works effectively.
Bala has vast professional experience in Structural Dynamics Analysis and Computational Fluid Flow.

N K Sherman
Vice President - Finance and Admin |
N K Sherman has over 30 years of experience in managing finance functions in the service economy. A graduate in Commerce from the Madras University, Sherman is a qualified Company Secretary & a rank holder chartered accountant. Prior to joining CSM Software, Sherman commenced his career with VST Industries Ltd, Hyderabad handling Corporate Finance, Accounting and Software development. Later at Price Waterhouse Coopers he spearheaded ERP implementation in large business houses. He moved as Director, Finance & Admin of PartsRiver Technologies Pvt. Ltd. and was promoted as Chief Operating Officer, followed by a consulting assignment with Satyam Computer Services Ltd, Hyderabad, where he successfully initiated & rolled out their intranet site. Since July 2003, Sherman has been with CSM, Bangalore as Vice President, Finance & Admin. His responsibilities include Finance, Accounting, Legal, Information Technology, Systems and Office Administration.

Bharath Mani

Bharath Mani, 1974 born, obtained his bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Madras. His interest in CAD related field was evident even in his engineering days, when he chose to do "Gear Design" project through AutoLisp programming in AutoCAD as a part of the curriculum.
He joined CSM as a "Marketing Executive" in 1998 and got promoted to "Territory Manager - North India" within a span of 13 months through his excellent sales performance . At CSM, Bharath Mani was spearheading the sale of high end CAE products including NASTRAN, STAR CD to name a few in the northern region of India. After the stint at CSM, Bharath Mani got an opportunity to work with a start up firm as the Business Manager heading two sales team, one for I-DEAS Artisan Series and the other team for selling VxWorks - the real time operating system. Bharath Mani did put up another splendid performance in this unique assignment that catapulted him to international sales.
Bharath Mani relocated to United States in the year 2000 when he got an
opportunity to work with the US operations of a large SEI-CMM level 5
certified IT consulting company. His 5 years of business development
experience in United States includes IT consulting, offshore consulting
and SAP consulting with couple of IT companies before he decided to
return to his first love, Engineering consulting.
He joined CSM LLC as Vice President - Business Development, US
operations in July 2004 and is currently based out of Farmington,
Michigan.

D G Subramanian
Vice President - Human Resources |
D G Subramanian has over 30 years of experience in handling HR functions, out of which 23 years is in managing Human Resource function in the Information Technology Business. A graduate in Science from Bangalore University, Subbu did his Post Graduation in Human Resource Management from S P Jain Institute, Pune. Subbu started his career with Metal Lamp Caps, Bangalore, handling Employee Relations Function. His journey into the IT industry started with Wipro, where he handled a gamut of HR activities. This was at a juncture when Wipro was diversifying to IT sector from its traditional consumer products business. Subbu moved through various divisions at Wipro for 13 years, with his last assignment being Head-HR with Wipro-BT joint venture in 1995. Later, Subbu worked with organizations like BFL Software, Mascot Systems and Mascon Global. He took over as Head – Human Resources at CSM in October 2005 and the company has seen significant developments in its Human Resource Management since then.

Tom Epply

Tom Epply, Management Consultant to CSM, is a Certified Lean Manufacturing Engineer, and a leading international authority on making the benefits of Lean Manufacturing a reality. Tom is an expert in Globalization, having personally participated in the planning and implementation of the successful migration of many Fortune 500 U.S. based manufacturing operations to Mexico, Europe and Asia. Tom is also a consultant to CSM in Out-Sourced Engineering solutions, with experience in the creation of a range of supporting engineering resources in the U.S. and India.
After working for GM for more than thirty years where he gained a wealth of experience in various capacities, Tom became the President of Continental Design & Engineering in Anderson, Indiana. In addition to his focused involvement in Lean consultations he has been instrumental in Continental’s growth of over 400%, which has resulted in numerous regional and national recognitions for noteworthy business achievement.
Tom’s formal education was at both Ball State University and New York University, and includes Lean Manufacturing training received at both the University of Kentucky’s Center for Robotics and Manufacturing Systems, and at the University of Michigan’s College of Engineering.
